Hi, my name is Danielle Pomeroy (she/her) and I am a Registered Social Worker.
Reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, and finding a therapist you can connect with matters. My approach starts by meeting you exactly where you are and creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and comfortable, whether that’s through virtual sessions, in-office appointments, or walk-and-talk therapy. My commitment is to ensure you feel seen, heard, and respected. Together, we’ll explore your unique strengths and life experiences to better understand the challenges you’re facing and discover meaningful ways to navigate them.

I work with adolescents, emerging adults and adults navigating life’s challenges, especially during life transitions like moving from high school to university, navigating relationship challenges, school or work-related stress and the impact of trauma.

I believe therapy should honor your cultural identity, values, and lived experiences. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation and is connected to the bigger picture of your life and community. I approach every session with respect, cultural humility, and a commitment to equity and transparency.

With over 25 years of experience in youth justice, mental health, and crisis intervention, I’ve worked with adolescents, adults, families, and professionals in demanding roles, including first responders. I have spent a significant part of my career working alongside first responders and front-line workers in various settings, including a police service and other justice and community mental health settings.

My approach is client-centered, and I use a variety of clinical approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am trained in trauma-informed and trauma-focused care to help resolve trauma related symptoms.

I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University. Alongside my clinical work at the Mindful Living Centre, I teach at the college and university level, specializing in Justice and Mental Health.

If you’re ready to take the next step toward growth and healing or simply want to connect and see if we’re a good fit, I’d be happy to talk. Together, we can create a path forward that feels authentic. Request an appointment.
